Moon The Dog

The life of a Dog is never easy. These are the trials of a canine existence. With (unwanted) commentary by a cat.

Moon The Dog Nanu The Cat

I am Moon. I am a dog. I live with my sister, Zoey. I am ruled by the Queen Moran. There is also "The Cat", Nanu, who is the bane of my existence. This site is the story of our life under the same roof. Oh yeah, we have a few human servants here, but they will be rarely mentioned.

Pet ire up, down under.

In New Zeland, there is a new law that will require us nobile canines to become microchipped as a matter of law. While both my sister and I sport these nifty marvels of technology, there are some that dispute the necessity of the chip, preferring to rely upon dog tags instead.

I think that the real complaint is that many humans don't want to spend their precious "mooney" (or what ever they call it) on their canines, preferring to spend it on televisions and beer (at least that is what the male human in our house likes).

Anyway. . . I think that the pets should be able to decide. I mean, I don't mind having the thing in me. I never notice it. I am not afraid that it will take over my brain or anything like that. However . . . if I could get a chip like THAT for The Cat, that would be worth all of the kibble in the world.

Hey Moon,

Just found your blog. Pretty cooool! I too sport one of those scientific type deally boopers. I think I need one because the only time I wear my collar/tags is when I am out of the yard on a walk or cruisin' in the auto.

I think humans are a little leary of these contraptions because someone, in that place back east with a belt around it and the big white house in the middle, may think it is a real great idea and have all humans get one.

I don't notice my thingy, but every time my humans use the remote to turn on that magic movin' box I come running into the room. Kinda like I have to go there. Hmm...I wonder? Oh, well.

Nice meetin' ya. Too bad you've got to share with the other kind.

Woof!

Freda
