Canine Counter

According to this News Article over at NBC, this dog Sheba can actually do math and is up on current events. There are several video clips that you can view.

I don't want to sound jealous, but I think that there is some kinda trick to it. It is bad that even after suspecting subterfuge, I can't see it. Well, I guess that I bettter start studying if I want to live up to the new canine standards.

Freda said...: When I helped my secretary harvest hollyhock seeds several weeks ago I counted over two seeds. There were a lot. I probably could have helped more if I knew as much math as Sheba. But like you said, something must be going on. I remember seeing an old film of a counting canine. After some research, subtle signals from the owner were uncovered. But they never said if the owner trained the dog or the dog trained the owner.
